Callum wins in historic Merlyn

Callum dominated the Historic Formula Ford event at Silverstone on May 9th.
After a great start to his European Open F3 season, with a competitive 6th.place finish at Valencia, it was back to the home territory of Silverstone on May 9th.
Callum was reunited with the immaculate Speedsport Merlyn Mk20A in which he scored two wins in 2008. Despite missing the testing on Friday, Callum sensationally took pole position with a lap time 1.6secs better than his nearest rival, and half a second under his previous best pole time from last season.
A good start wasn't quite good enough, and into Copse Callum was a close second. A superb outbraking move into Abbey Hairpin saw him assume a lead which he extended to over nine seconds by the chequered flag. Fastest lap and another new lap record added to his domination of the race.
