STEFAN BACK IN TITLE HUNT AFTER DONINGTON

Posted on Sep 11, 2007

A return to the podium at the penultimate round of the Clio Cup race has put Stefan back in the title hunt as the series heads towards the finale at Thruxton on 13 & 14th October.

After no score finishes at Brand Hatch last time out, Stefan needed to maintain his consistency and take as many point as possible to put him back in contention.

After qualifying in second, he made a great start and stormed into the lead on the opening lap. But wrestling with handling problems he had to eventually give way and settle for 2nd place at the chequered flag.

Stefan however was upbeat. “It was great to be back on the podium again, and a relief. Leading the series for so much of the year, it was gut-wrenching to see it all slip away, but I’m now up for a real battle. There are 68 points up for grabs and I will be giving it my all at Thruxton”.
